T7, 690 Enduro and 701s Join Us On The Trails in Portugal

Our second group of riders to join us out in Portugal for some trail riding included some mid sized adventure bikes. A Yamaha T7, a KTM 690 and a brace of Husqvarna 701s took on some tight single tracks, steep hill climbs and somehow even steeper hill descents alongside our Academy fleet bikes. We brought out a selection of bikes, including Beta 430 RRs, 390 RRs and 2 of our 250 2 stroke bikes.

Mile after mile of off road tracks gave everyone the opportunity to put themselves and their bikes to the test. Everyone has ridden really well and safe to say some riders have achieved far more than they thought would be possible. Of course we found the obligatory water splashes. Special mention has to go to the riders on the Yamaha T7 and KTM 690 who made the trip down to the Algarve by taking a ferry from the UK to Santander and then riding down and when they have finished riding with us, they will be riding back to the UK.

BeRightBack @ Desert Rose 2026

Now in its 3rd year, the annual BeRightBack day at Desert Rose never fails to deliver. Be Right Back is a growing community for women in and around the automotive world, where passion for bikes and cars, connection and experience-making collide. It was created out of the real need for women who felt like they didn’t quite fit into the typical automotive scene and wanted a supportive, fun and empowered space to meet like-minded people, build friendships and enjoy the culture together. BRB hosts a wide range of events from casual social meet-ups like breakfast gatherings and drive-outs to special celebrations like International Women’s Day collaborations and women-centred track days and off road riding experiences. BSMC Members @ Desert Rose

At Desert Rose we have a long partnership with London’s BikeShed. For the last 5 or 6 years we have welcomed groups of BSMC members to our training facilities. They have joined us on our trips in Portugal, the Pyrenees, Morocco and taken part in rallies through Greece, Bulgaria, Romania and north Africa. We have been to their epic show at London’s Tobacco Dock and hosted group chats at their Shoreditch HQ.
