We have been coming to CampVC for some years now and it really has grown. This year for their 10th Anniversary the team asked if we could bring more bikes. Never one to step back from a challenge Patsy made sure we upped our game. We took 20 electric dirt bikes; OSET TXP 24s, EM Escape XRs, an Arctic Leopard and of course our brand new fleet of Zero X line bikes. Add to that 16 of our Beta enduro bikes some of our own bikes, the Triumph TF 250 E, Yamaha TTR 125 and Patsy’s Dakar bike from 2004, a KTM 660.

The 2026 Malle Mile Festival will forever be known as “The dust bowl edition” Some 5,000 people experienced 1,500 motorcycles, beauty, chaos, art, jousting, innovation, smiles, moto polo, laughter, slightly surreal DJ sets (IYKYK The Dog Show!) All this in the grounds of an actual castle! MCN joined the party this year and have tried to capture the essence here. That featured image captured by our good friend Roberto.

Late June and we are heading to Warwickshire for the ABR Festival. Europe’s biggest motorcycle festival with nearly 20,000 attendees. We get to meet up with old friends and customers, make new friends and give taster sessions of our off road training courses, lead the early morning Trail Briefings to help riders understand the importance of riding techniques that will help them negotiate the amazing trails and loops set up across the Ragley Hall Estate. We also had the chance to showcase our brand new Zero X Line fleet, these really did get people talking, adventure bikes come in all shape and sizes and with the Zero X Line you can also chat to your fellow riders as you silently ride the trails.

Desert Rose are delighted to announce that we have become an affiliated Experience Centre for Zero Motorcycles. Showcasing the Zero X line electric motorcycles, the XE and XB models will become part of the Desert Rose eBike Xperience. We can’t wait for the bikes to arrive and have already planned some new routes around our 70 acres of private woodland.

Two Wheels for Life, the motorcycle charity who support various healthcare programmes in some of Africa’s hardest to reach communities have launched details of an amazing fundraising ride in The Gambia, West Africa. Desert Rose will be supporting the ride, in the form of route planning and leading the ride. Using the Yamaha AG 100s as used by the healthcare workers in The Gambia, participants will get to ride the bikes on the same terrain and to the same villages getting a real understanding of how these motorcycles are saving lives.

The late May Bank Holiday weekend and of course we have to be at London’s Tobacco Dock for the incomparable BikeShed Show 2026. Over the years we have built a strong connection with BikeShed and their members and we wouldn’t miss this event for the world. We showcased our enduro bikes, plus the brand new Zero X LIne electric dirt bikes that will feature as a big part of our eBike Xperience. These bikes are taking electric dirt bikes to another level. We can’t wait to get BikeShed members whizzing through our 70 acres in East Sussex on board these bikes.

The end of April saw the Desert Rose Compass Park venue taken over by Zero Motorcycles. The American electric motorcycle manufacturer chose the Desert Rose venue and team to help showcase their range of off road electric dirt bikes. In addition to the electric dirt bikes, the Zero Team had their on road motorcycles and scooter range on show. Over the 3 days we hosted journalists, social media content creators and customers.

Our 2026 Portugal Trail Riding trip did not disappoint. The south western Algarve had had some pretty wet weather in the 6 weeks prior to us arriving so the streams we have crossed in previous years had become rivers. Some days we adapted our planned routes to avoid the deeper rivers. The hills around Monchique gave us plenty of varied terrain, but this year to add in a little more adventure, we took 2 of the groups out to a little town on the Spanish border. The overnight stay in Mertola was a great addition to the schedule and we will certainly include something similar on future trips.

After becoming the first British woman to enter and then complete the grueling Dakar Rallye back in 2006, Patsy decided to help others achieve their dreams. 20 years on and we have seen 100s of riders take part in 100s of rallies, raids, adventure tours, hard enduro events and all with the backing and support of Patsy and the team she has built. It is now time to hand over the reins and on 31st December 2025 Desert Rose Racing will close its doors for the last time. While the doors are closing at Desert Rose Racing, it is full steam ahead at the rest of the Desert Rose Group Companies. The Academy continues to grow with off road riding courses to suit all abilities, from new off road riders, those looking for their first event and more seasoned riders aiming at conquering a desert rallye. Our overseas trips and events including the ever popular Portugal and Pyrenees Trail riding tours and Morocco 1500 will continue through 2026 and beyond. The eBike Xperience is bringing the thrill of off road motorcycling to a new audience and even a new generation with our range of electric off road motorcycles and dirt bikes. Desert Rose DirtTech workshop is set to see another record year, with off road bike servicing, competition bike preparation and rallye bike builds keeping the team busy.
