I started the day trying to avoid obstacles, I ended it looking for them.

At Desert Rose our passion is helping riders get the most from their off road riding. Whether they are completely new to riding, have been riding for years, but need some more confidence when heading off the beaten track or are looking to improve their enduro results, our instruction and coaching programmes are designed to help. Feedback from a recent course, included that fantastic line: “I started the day trying to avoid obstacles, I ended it looking for them” Sure enough, the log pile was no longer an obstacle to be avoided.

When we get messages through on email, or via our social media pages we are so pleased to hear how much riders have enjoyed their time riding with us. The messages seem to have a common thread, which is that the coaching and instruction we have been able to offer has made them more confident, helped them enjoy their riding more and the skills have transferred across to their road riding. We run our progressive training courses throughout the year and are also able to offer 1 to 1 and small group sessions so that riders get the most from their time with us. We run coaching sessions on trips out in Portugal, on the western Algarve and our ever popular “Boot Camps” out in Morocco, aimed at preparing riders for longer overland trips or competitive rallyes. Desert Rose New Experience Centre for Zero

Desert Rose are delighted to announce that we have become an affiliated Experience Centre for Zero Motorcycles. Showcasing the Zero X line electric motorcycles, the XE and XB models will become part of the Desert Rose eBike Xperience. We can’t wait for the bikes to arrive and have already planned some new routes around our 70 acres of private woodland.

Two Wheels for Life Ride The Gambia

Two Wheels for Life, the motorcycle charity who support various healthcare programmes in some of Africa’s hardest to reach communities have launched details of an amazing fundraising ride in The Gambia, West Africa. Desert Rose will be supporting the ride, in the form of route planning and leading the ride. Using the Yamaha AG 100s as used by the healthcare workers in The Gambia, participants will get to ride the bikes on the same terrain and to the same villages getting a real understanding of how these motorcycles are saving lives.

Zero Motorcycles Roadshow at Desert Rose

The end of April saw the Desert Rose Compass Park venue taken over by Zero Motorcycles. The American electric motorcycle manufacturer chose the Desert Rose venue and team to help showcase their range of off road electric dirt bikes. In addition to the electric dirt bikes, the Zero Team had their on road motorcycles and scooter range on show. Over the 3 days we hosted journalists, social media content creators and customers.
