Here Come the Girls

Patsy put a group of ladies through their paces on a chilly and damp January morning. Tackling everything from body positioning and bike handling through to braking techniques in the morning, with the afternoon seeing the riders getting to grips with braking on hill descents and techniques for dealing with ruts. It is fair to say that everyone threw themselves enthusiastically at the exercises and even when Patsy had everyone jogging across the field to warm up there were plenty of smiles. The fire pit was a welcome sight during breaks in the day’s training.

Patsy was more than a little excited to get the chance to ride a newly arrived Beta 250 RR Racing 2 stroke while delivering the course, who doesn’t love new bike day? The riders were on a mix of a new model Beta 300 X Trainer, 2021 model X Trainer and the super little Beta 200 Alp, the mountain goat of the Desert Rose fleet. Desert Rose New Experience Centre for Zero

Desert Rose are delighted to announce that we have become an affiliated Experience Centre for Zero Motorcycles. Showcasing the Zero X line electric motorcycles, the XE and XB models will become part of the Desert Rose eBike Xperience. We can’t wait for the bikes to arrive and have already planned some new routes around our 70 acres of private woodland.

Two Wheels for Life Ride The Gambia

Two Wheels for Life, the motorcycle charity who support various healthcare programmes in some of Africa’s hardest to reach communities have launched details of an amazing fundraising ride in The Gambia, West Africa. Desert Rose will be supporting the ride, in the form of route planning and leading the ride. Using the Yamaha AG 100s as used by the healthcare workers in The Gambia, participants will get to ride the bikes on the same terrain and to the same villages getting a real understanding of how these motorcycles are saving lives.

Zero Motorcycles Roadshow at Desert Rose

The end of April saw the Desert Rose Compass Park venue taken over by Zero Motorcycles. The American electric motorcycle manufacturer chose the Desert Rose venue and team to help showcase their range of off road electric dirt bikes. In addition to the electric dirt bikes, the Zero Team had their on road motorcycles and scooter range on show. Over the 3 days we hosted journalists, social media content creators and customers.
