A cold, slightly damp late January morning and Harry takes the opportunity to recce a few trails for some upcoming rides. The Husqvarna 701 was chosen from the Desert Rose fleet, mainly as Harry had a fairly long liaison stage at the start of his ride from the South Coast to the Kent countryside.
Harry had a set of marked up maps, identifying the byways and green lanes accessible to motorcycles to explore and was tasked with locating the best coffee stops and cafe’s for future rides.
The UK’s diminishing network of green lanes and byways open to all traffic, represent an opportunity for trail riders and adventure bike riders to get out an enjoy the countryside on their motorcycles. These routes, shared with walkers, mountain bikers, horse riders and others are there for us all to enjoy. As long as your motorcycle is taxed, MoT’d, properly insured and road legal you can ride these routes.
Desert Rose fully support the principles set out in the TRF
code of conduct and we recommend that if you are thinking of taking to the trails, joining the TRF is a great first step.
