Skills development days are a great way to get more time on the bike, tackling a variety of obstacles and terrain. Our focus is on individual riders and helping them get the most out of the day, whether it is getting to grips with pre load techniques to pop the font wheel over obstacles, or pivot turns to help pick your way through gnarly single track and tight turns. Everyone threw themselves into the exercises with a mixture of trepidation and enthusiasm. Before long, logs and fallen trees were no longer being avoided but actively searched out.
Rock strewn gullies were tackled in the afternoon. Take a look at how some of the riders got on here
Of course it wouldn’t be a proper day riding enduro bikes if there weren’t a few stream crossings. We usually plan these for the latter part of the day for obvious reasons. We do mention in our pre course joining instructions that spare socks should be part of your kit bag. Even the best “waterproof” boots can’t stop water getting in when you’re wading through 2′ feet of muddy stream.
