Desert Rose Riding Academy & Sinnis Motorcycles

At Desert Rose Riding Academy we are focused on delivering rider training and coaching so that riders can get the most out of their riding experience. Whether it is through our Stage 1/2 courses getting riders taking those first steps off road, or coaching riders who plan to take part in hard/extreme enduro events, riders looking to take on a big desert rallye, owners of big adventure bikes who want to go off the tarmac occasionally our passion is helping riders enhance their off road riding skills. It is no surprise therefore that Sinnis Motorcycles asked us to deliver some off road rider training courses for riders of their 125 Terrain motorcycles. These small capacity motorcycles are proving to be popular with newer riders, as well as those returning to 2 wheels. We have based the courses on our Stage 1 syllabus which builds the core principles for riding motorcycles off road. Body positioning and bike handling exercises enable riders to build their confidence. This is then built on further with learning the braking techniques for riding off road. With some 80 plus acres of open, rutted fields, tight woodland and some short but fairly steep hills riders and bikes coped really well all day. We know of riders who have taken and in fact are currently taking these T125s on all sorts of adventures, one of which sees a young rider on her way to the northern tip of Norway, tent and provisions strapped to the back of her bike. She spent a day with us just before she left the UK to build her off road riding skills, ready for whatever Scandanavia might throw at her. Safe travels H.

Desert Rose New Experience Centre for Zero

Desert Rose are delighted to announce that we have become an affiliated Experience Centre for Zero Motorcycles. Showcasing the Zero X line electric motorcycles, the XE and XB models will become part of the Desert Rose eBike Xperience. We can’t wait for the bikes to arrive and have already planned some new routes around our 70 acres of private woodland.

Two Wheels for Life Ride The Gambia

Two Wheels for Life, the motorcycle charity who support various healthcare programmes in some of Africa’s hardest to reach communities have launched details of an amazing fundraising ride in The Gambia, West Africa. Desert Rose will be supporting the ride, in the form of route planning and leading the ride. Using the Yamaha AG 100s as used by the healthcare workers in The Gambia, participants will get to ride the bikes on the same terrain and to the same villages getting a real understanding of how these motorcycles are saving lives.

Zero Motorcycles Roadshow at Desert Rose

The end of April saw the Desert Rose Compass Park venue taken over by Zero Motorcycles. The American electric motorcycle manufacturer chose the Desert Rose venue and team to help showcase their range of off road electric dirt bikes. In addition to the electric dirt bikes, the Zero Team had their on road motorcycles and scooter range on show. Over the 3 days we hosted journalists, social media content creators and customers.
