Desert Rose Join Camp VC 2022

Camp VC is a women’s motorcycle festival, which for 2022 was run at the Sweet Lamb Rally Complex in Wales. The weekend offered a multitude of activities for attendees, from welding and mechanics lessons, through to experiencing a rally car lap of a rally course. Desert Rose were invited to bring our enduro motorcycles along, so that we could give beginners lessons for riders who wanted to venture off road and maybe get involved in trail riding, or even their first enduro event. Patsy made sure the support lorry was fully loaded and the team made their way from East Sussex to the stunning hills of Wales. Arriving to set up on Thursday, we were met by unusual weather for Wales, it was dry and sunny and this continued on into Friday. With Saturday and Sunday, normal service resumed as far as Welsh weather is concerned and there was a combination of mist, drizzle and horizontal rain.

We saw over 100 ladies book onto our courses over the weekend despite the weather and all of them rode really well. Considering some of the riders had only just taken their CBT and were relatively new road riders, they all soon got to grips with the difference to riding off road. The location offered a variety of terrain for the riders to tackle, with loose shale, wet grass and some hills to practice ascents and descents all under the watchful eye of the Desert Rose instructors. On Saturday evening, Patsy was asked to join a panel discussion about women in motorcycling and spoke of her enduro championships and of course her Dakar experience.

Desert Rose to attend Moto-Union Celebration

Desert Rose have been invited to attend the Moto-Union event on the 20th September 2026. CampVC 2026 10th Anniversary

We have been coming to CampVC for some years now and it really has grown. This year for their 10th Anniversary the team asked if we could bring more bikes. Never one to step back from a challenge Patsy made sure we upped our game. We took 20 electric dirt bikes; OSET TXP 24s, EM Escape XRs, an Arctic Leopard and of course our brand new fleet of Zero X line bikes. Add to that 16 of our Beta enduro bikes some of our own bikes, the Triumph TF 250 E, Yamaha TTR 125 and Patsy’s Dakar bike from 2004, a KTM 660.

Malle Mile 2026 Edition

The 2026 Malle Mile Festival will forever be known as “The dust bowl edition” Some 5,000 people experienced 1,500 motorcycles, beauty, chaos, art, jousting, innovation, smiles, moto polo, laughter, slightly surreal DJ sets (IYKYK The Dog Show!) Desert Rose at 2026 ABR Festival

Late June and we are heading to Warwickshire for the ABR Festival. Europe’s biggest motorcycle festival with nearly 20,000 attendees. We get to meet up with old friends and customers, make new friends and give taster sessions of our off road training courses, lead the early morning Trail Briefings to help riders understand the importance of riding techniques that will help them negotiate the amazing trails and loops set up across the Ragley Hall Estate. We also had the chance to showcase our brand new Zero X Line fleet, these really did get people talking, adventure bikes come in all shape and sizes and with the Zero X Line you can also chat to your fellow riders as you silently ride the trails.
